Cash flow questions, clearly answered
The money coming in during a month, less the money going out. A positive figure means more came in than went out; a negative one means spending exceeded income.
A budget is the plan you make before the month. Cash flow is what the month actually did. planwithzen shows them together, so the plan and the result sit side by side rather than in different places.
No. Everything works on figures you enter yourself. Connecting eligible accounts through Plaid is a Momentum feature that reduces manual updating; it is optional and read-only.
Recurring bills and everyday spending both, each in the month it is actually due. A bill paid quarterly belongs in the month it is paid rather than averaged across the three.
How consistent your income looks across the history available. It is an educational view of what has been recorded, not a prediction or guarantee of future income.
Yes. Recording income and expenses, and seeing money in, money out and what is left over, are included with Free. Momentum adds planned-against-actual comparison, connected accounts, and six months of history.
